After spending the night in the driveway in the camper which went well, I took her in for inspection where we passed with no problem. Mikes Service Center said there is a little oil seeping in the oil pan but not leaking, a windshield washer nozzle is busted and the tires look like they are 10 years old and are cracked on the sideway. They said replace them before we take the van on a long trip as chunking might be a bad problem on the highway. Other than that they said she is in great shape. I took the van to an rv parts store on Southwest Boulevard/Merriam Drive in KCK. They were really helpful. I called around first to Olathe Ford. They said the first time they could see me is July 3rd. I called Camping World, and couldn't get anybody to answer the service phone. I went to the RV place on Merriam Drive and they were really helpful. They gave me lots of free advice. They filled the propane tank for me -- it is 4 gallons they said, which came to $21.00. I am very nervous about starting my propane appliances. I will let the van sit for a day. If I open it tomorrow, and smell gas, I will shut the valve and let it air out. If not, I will open the windows and try to light the cooktop.. I still haven't got the Dometic fridge figured out yet.

There were some sleeping bags in the van, which I used for the night. With the windows open and the fan going, the night was really cool for June and pleasant.

My view as I got up to get ready to take the van to have it inspected for Missouri safety inspection.

My campground for the night. The dump hose is set out from running water through the system the day before. I kept running water to flush the system out.
